Help with rear end

I am looking for a 71 to 73 Nova rear end either 10 bolt or 12 bolts. I know there will harder to find. What else in the GM family has the same rear end width with leafs? It going into this.

As you can see if the photo there is a straight axle from an old aerostar van just bolted to the leafs to make it a roller.

Dave,
I tried to find a 10-12 bolt when I dropped the old one in my '62 Nova but they are hard to find around here & expensive so I used a Ford 9" instead.

thanks for the info, I may try to find a 8 3/4 rear too, I just have to get something that has the proper width and then weld the perches on

shotupdave, here's a link to rear widths for the rest of the common U.S. makes. Specs are wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface.

Ford rear ends

Dave,
Check to see if a Ford Crown Vic rear is close to the right size... they're plentiful, cheap & come with disc brakes.

10 bolts hard to find.?

Really..? Damn it..I just tossed one out into the scrap yard last week.Posted it on here,no one wanted it.I saw 3 of them today at a swap meet...75.00 was top price...AWESOME swap meet too..right next to an Air show that was going on...SAW a fricking Stealth bomber go cruising over us....!

Thats a great idea, actually I own a few of those already. I used to race a crown vic at a local dirt track in New Mexico. The nice thing too they come with a posi unit in them.
