i have been told by a friend that an older jeep cherokee rear end might fit under my 47 dodge p.u. can anyone confirm that? i work really close to a jeep dismantler, so that may be an easy find.

Get your tape out and to some measuring .I myself have 71 nova under my 47 dodge u.p.I need find some front drums for mine, they are thin.

since you have mentioned front ends, i am also wondering what spindles will fit my front end. it is a half ton and i am ok with simple drums on all four corners.

If you find out please let me know OK .I have new everything new or redo on the brakes but it still want stop like it should, I like to keep my straight axle so let me know. If I find out I too will pass it on .Thanks

i stopped in at the local So-Cal sppeed shop in sacramento yesterday, the guy there was very helpful. he told me of a shop in west sacramento that sell all the vintage brake parts for my truck, i wrote it down, but i think i left it in my garbage truck. i will find it tomorrow and reply the shops name.
