F FordV8 Member Joined Mar 17, 2010 Messages 13 Jul 30, 2010 #1 On my 1982 ford truck the C6 trans seems to take a little longer to shift from 2nd to 3rd than it should, is there an easy fix for that or is that hurting anything, i know it was rebuilt before but i dont know when.

Arkansawer Well-known member Joined Jun 13, 2008 Messages 604 Location Ravenden Springs, Arkansas Jul 30, 2010 #2 Replace the selenoid thats on the back of the tranny. It also feeds off of vacuum from the carb, so may want to check the vac. line as well.
