i coulden't find a good body so,my brain was working overtime one day and this is what it came up with.i have more ambition than tools to work with but it's a rat so how good does it have to look.started this in jan.07.

Looks good. I can see the shape of the body in that structure. Are you going to narrow the front end a little? Reason I ask is that you will need some room for the tires to turn, unless you have something in mind that I can't see.

this is it. up to date.wraped it with alum ,all done by hand with out a bender. pics will come slower now.

That's a bold undertaking, building a whole car from scratch including the body. Good for you smokestack.

Thats looking cool man ,it's amazing what a man can do when he has too improvize.
I did some thing similer last winter ,built a c-cab from scatch .Got the idea from a model car sight[Tom Danels ]I would like to see more people try to make some scratch body builds too.Might get to see some new inovative ideas if people did try it !
Ive always wanted a tall-T coupe body but new i could never aford one,but after seeing your coupe i want to try to make one now!
Now what are you gona call it and how to get a title ????????

i call it the X CAR. fill out some papers for the state fl. and a couple hundred bucks your in.

I'm also in the process of building one from scratch,started on the frame today i'll post pics tomorrow,still havent decided on the body,steel or fiberglass one would be just as easy to build as the other I suppose,but anyhow awesome build and keep us posted

Here's another view. I'm trying to get a mid '20s truck cab look. I bought a cowl and built the rest out of square and rec. tubing... Probably going to loose the sun visor.....grouchy
