Rat Rod XL

Built this from a basket a couple years ago. Got a lot of help from my friends at Mad Cycle in Ruckersville, Va. Many one off custom touches.

here's the shovels

got to love em'

PS

I did NOT build this flamed bike. This was done by Departure Bike Works in 1978. I bought it from the second owner. Began life as a new superglide before it went to the boys in Richmond Va.

shovels do rule !!!!but i would love to try a pan on for size.
Nice bikes man,i dig the crazy stuff from the 60's and 70's!

I love all Harleys

my problem is I really like to (NEED) build them on the cheap. I know you can only go so cheap. Like the Pan I traded for I put a lot into. And when I get upwards of 10 G's in a bike it makes me nervous. That's about twice what I like to have in bike. Got too many obligations to have all that cake in one toy.
Still I keep Pan fever most of the time. Here is the pan I traded for AFTER I got done with it.

i can dig it ,it's hard to beleive but i already have about 9 in my shovel and i bet pans are even more to build if your not well conected.
I'll never get my money back out of mine especially sece the chopper movement is slowing down .
I have five other jap chop's and one is new and still dont have close to that in all of them ,just for fun ya mite try to build ya one and see how cheap and fun they are ? Most harley people would walk first but i really like my chop's

I am with you Chop, I have less than 800 in this bizarre
Suzuki and have already gotten my money back in fun. I am on the outside of the Harley brotherhood but i am an intolerant old cuss anyway so not missing much there. :D Gets kind of buzzy at 80 but seldom have a need to go that fast anyway. First choice would be flathead 80's and knuckles as well as old Brits but that is never going to happen now.:D
