i have a Hobart handler 125 . i have had it for about 5 years in the fall i got the gas kit for it. today i finally got it put on. i am building a cart for it and ran out of flux core wire. i got it together put some .30 wire in it and trier it out . my welds looked awful . didn't have much penetration . looked like worms setting on the steel plate. tried a but weld with it set on 4 and the feed on 30 didn't get very good penetration and the weld looked slattery . i have the gas set on 20 .i am using 75% argon/25% co2. i am using a .35 tip . i then put .23 wire and tip in and it looked like the wire was melting before it got the metal plate i was welding . i turned the feed up and down and the power setting up and down with out ant luck.

any suggestions.

Did you change the polarity? If you didn't, you need to. Open the side panel and make sure the leads are on the correct lugs.
