I got this frame with a 28/9 model A sedan. Is it even a ford frame? If so, is it a model A frame?

Thanks ahead of time!

Looks like parts of it are.
Front and rear crossmembers look like A. Looks like someone took the front horns and crossmember from an A and grafted them to a boxed frame although the rear cross members looks to be attached to stock side rails. A photo of the entire frame would be better..
If you go to Wescots site I belive they have original frame diagrams on there. Should help you out.
Hope this helped.

Yes the engine and trans area of the frame have been boxed very poorly. I was hoping to use the cross members and front frame ends on a roaster that I want to build for my wife.

Thanks guys

If thats all you are looking to use, just double check the front crossmember around the U-Bolt mounts, they can crack up pretty good in that area, I've had two front A Crossmembers that have been cracked.

I just ran into the same with my 30 coupe frame. It had some decent cracks there .I channelled them and welded up.Opinions?,,good idea,,bad idea.Remove the area and replace with a plate to be drilled for the spring locator?,,thanks in advance![;)

I have seen those areas fixed that way before.
Mostly when used for a hot 4 banger or original A engine but if you are a good welder they should be fine.
If you are intending a bigger motor you would probably want to box the frame any way so you might consider cutting the area out and replateing.
Torchie.

I ended up just finding another good one and replaced it. But yeah I have seen it fixed both ways, cut out bad and replace, or plate over it depending on where it is in relation to the u-bolts spring.
