Started on the 46 ford today. braced it a bit and removed the top around the back, sides and around the top of the windshied. P.S. I'm calling it "Fools Gold" because my wife says I'm a fool every time I drag something home!

Nope! I'ts not gonna be an RPU. Just going for a certain look. Then I cut the windshield post and took 4" out. Next cut was below the windshield and cowl sides, but leaving attached on door post. Then I tilted to the angle I wanted and scribed and taped from from the lower cut line. Removed the frame and cutto scribe. Tacked it back into place. Also cut the back down 5 1/4", may end up going more. The rear window area and back of the cab is pretty beat up and has to be replaced. The roof has major dents and creases as well. May just end up rolling a new panel. You'll have to stay tuned to see! Ran out of time today. (this was Saturday, only day I could squeeze in)

Not much in the way of updates. Been working on the roof here and there. I'm going with an open center in the roof and covering with a snap on cover. About have the height figured out. Since theses pictures I split and shaved the drip rail to even out the height of the roof. My uncle Bob hooked me up with the front clip from a 39 Standard coupe and its a bolt on to the 46 cab. Still debating fenders, but doubt I'll run them. I have both an IFS and a 39 straight axle so that decision will dictate which way I go. More to follow.
