whats the best way to clean up light rust and pitting form chrome, trim,etc..?i know steel wool works to a point but anything else to make it more presentable?
question about cleaning up chrome,trim,etc..

Try aluminum foil and chrome polish, The foil takes the rust off in a delicate manner, i.e. does not scratch and the chrome polish removes oxidation and the like. As for the pitting, they are pits and cannot be removed without a rechrome, just made to look beter.
