Ok, here I go off on another tangent....
I like 2 types of motorcycle racing.. Speedway bikes and F-1 side car racing.
My brother, Steven was involved in speedway for over 10 years and my garage
was the home shop. Ascot, Costa Mesa, Long Beach Veterans Stadium (long track)
were some of the tracks he raced at, and it is a great sport to watch.
No brakes, no gears, left turn only..... and hang on.

F-1 Hacks....

F-1 side car racing is harder to follow, big in Europe. Nothing here that I know of.
These are some of the bikes from the 60’s and 70’s, BSA, Triumph, Norton and
Vincent are some of the makes back then. They still look like motorcycles.
With a driver and a monkey, they are busy. ;)
Yes, 2nd guy is called a monkey and after looking at the following photos,
the reason should be obvious..

That is some “motorcycle"..... ;)

No More... For Now..

These are the current formula 2 side car rigs (hacks).
A little close looking to a “normal” motorcycle.
This is all for now, hope this is of interest to some... ;)
And while I realize they are not rats, they are crazy cool, at least to me. ‘22

yes they are cool, there is a race track by me, welland county motorcycle club, speedway bikes there all the time, now they just started to race quads, they go good around the track, but the speedway bikes are my favorite.

I always wondered what those side car rigs looked like without their bodywork. Interesting.

Those speedway bikes are crazy. They used to be on speed channel late at night a lot. Who needs brakes anyway?

IMO those "monkeys" might have the roughest job in motorsports.
