New to the rat scene..what rear end do have?? fits chevy 5 on 5 pattern

Looks like its ford 9 inche'ish...???

Looks like an old Ford 9 inch to me. Here is how to tell, but you have to look at the end of the axle.

I thought Ford was small 4 1/2 and Big 5 1/2. Bolt
Patterns. I don't think think tha( Ford and GM interchanged.

ON the ford (inch there are 4 1/2, 5 & 5 1/2 bolt circles. some car rears after 1973 had the 5 inch.

I think their correct. It looks like a 9inch Ford to me. It looks to be the LARGE 9inch from the ends of the pumpkin. My 69 Galaxie had the 4 1/2" on 5 bolt pattern.
There is some good additional info on www.kevinstang.com about identifying 9inch Fords too.

Id say a Ford 9" also. Ive built and narrowed a few rears in my day. Guessing by the look of it, its a 58" or 60" {measured at backing plate} probly out of a mid 70s pickup or Lincoln.

I had a 73 Tbird and the chevy pickup 5 on 5 wheels fit it. We also used lincoln disc rear in a sportsman car and those were 5 on 5 too.

I wonder if that might not be a mid to late fifties Olds or Pontiac with the drop-out center section? It looks too "round" to me to be a nine inch...

What markings are on the 3rd member? Could also be a Mopar 8 3/4

My guess would be Ford 9" also, BUT it looks just like the rear in my 51 Pontiac which is also 5 on 5.
