Hey Earthman, I was looking through the car show posts and it sure hurts to see all the stuff going on year round in Az. I moved from Tempe (Mitchell Park neighborhood) to northern Michigan almost 3 years ago and I am not a winter person. Me and my group of freinds were regulars at the Scottsdale Pavillions, Mesa cruises, and Socal second saturdays, among many others. I gotta get there back soon.
That Model A car lot that the guy in Tempe showed - I've been there at least 15 years ago.
I usually go to a swap meet on the second Sunday at the VFW on Meridian, just N of Southern. That place is just down the road. Meridian between Broadway and Southern - I think.
Good day today. Enjoyed seeing the roadster the other projects. The roadster has a lot more there than probably shows in the photos. I wouldn't be worried about riding in it. Might need ear plugs , though.
If you get any more days off in the future, let me know, we'll go to AJ and see Truckster's project. He is often available during the week, but having a day's notice would improve our chances. His neighbor (another blacksmith) is building a '41 International Rat, he's often there also.
Curt,
I tried uploading my pics from photobucket, but I get an invalid url every time. I guess I need to take you up on your offer to walk me through it.
Glad you stopped by Saturday. I drove by your place on Sunday, but you had already packed it in.
Do you ever go to Second Saturday's at SoCal? If you're interested we can do that, then go by a couple other guys whose projects I think you'd be interested in. It's on Feb. 13
