Well, they say your spring should be 5 inches shorter than the perches, so a 29 inch spring should be about right. Is that what you are asking ?

I was told you could help me hopefully. Anyways I need help with a front spring for my build. I measured the way speedway shows in there link.( doing spring behind axle) and I get34 inches. That's with shackles horizontal like speedway says.
Anyways thanks for any help you can give.

Good. I guess you posted a picture but it didn't come up, PM we with it if you get a chance, I'd love to see it.

BTW, as I mentioned, you will have to weed through a ton of BS on that thread, it kinda went all kinds of directions over the time I was building the car, but we had fun with it.

    Good luck with yours.

Thanks Steve. If you go to Clubhotrod.com and put in "Project $3K" you should find the complete build thread there. You may have to sign up, but no big deal, and you will have to wade through 225 or so pages of BS in the build, but it is there from beginning to end.

If you have trouble finding it let me know.

    Hi Don,
Love your work I came across your black and copper t-bucket modified build over on kilbillet, would you have a copy of that build with the photos intact, there are no pictures over there, I am starting on on a build of my own and could use the direction?
Thanks for all the posting you do.
    Steve
