Here is a few shots of the box that was cannelled severely and was shortened 19"...I went with an expanded metal floor with a plazma cut rat rod cross so you could still see the chassis detail...the tank will be painted army drab green with the words RAT POISON stenciled on it in army artwork..the rear bumper is something I made as a trailer hitch reciever plug....ya it has a hitch...

Okay, here is the chop...5 1/2" ..mostly welded from the inside so I wouldn't have to grind and disturb the pantina on the body...I also saved all the carriage head bolts on the back of the cab and will reinstall them once I put in the new wood suports...so 4" channel and a 5 1/2" chop...I'm 5'8" and still have lots of head room and can see out really well...I sent the windshield frame to the glass shop to get the glass fitted and have the rear frame ready to go as well...I will also put sideglass in also

This mainly the steering colum...I wanted it to look like a machine gun barrel when finished..I will paint the outside of it flat black and leave the shaft stainless...The steering wheel has a Quick detatch mount and I used a mund 4" steering colum drop...the shifter is a gennie with an old shifter modified for it with a traditional grenade knob ....This is my last set of pics for now.....need to do more work to get more photos.....I hope you have enjoyed them so far...I will answer any questions if you have any.....oh if you are wondering the shelf in the background is a chopped and channeled 51 MERC coupe that I am also building...I have built a few of these before and needed a change so Rat Rods Rule for now.....The merc is channeled 6" over the floor and frame of a 96 caprice cop car with a LT1 350 and posi with 4 wheel disc brakes...It is chopped 5" and has suicide doors....anyway enjoy my build and I will post new pics as I progress.....I look at as many of your rides and projects that I can and I see I am amungst FRIENDS!!!:):)[;)
