So I have wanted a sled deck to haul my snowmobile for a while now. My dad built one years ago out of steel. Does its job well, but heavy as heck!!! I knew I wanted an aluminum one but no way to weld aluminum to in my shop. I had a buddy ask me if I could build him one also. So I bit the bullet and bought a new toy, then
I put it to work!!!!!

Looks great! Not sure what length of sled you have, but you might consider extending the tail about a foot out (with the same vertical drop to the tail. Gives you a better approach on the ramp).

163 polaris 800. It is extended alittle. I based my measurements off my dads and they load easy on his.

Another super late night to work on my own stuff!![S:eek:[;)[;)[;)

Got the ramp put together for my sled deck. Nothing is final welded and I'm going to put a couple Corner gussets in it along with my hook to hook it to the back of the deck

Nice work. What's the length of the ramp?

Your truck is pretty tall.

So I snuck in a couple hours this evening to work on my own Sled Deck. Getting it pretty close, pretty much just have to do final welding now. I've got a couple small 3/4 inch LED marker lights that are going to go inside of the side panel to install and wire up along with some underneath the deck. I store my gear in a tupperware container under the deck so it would be nice to be able to see what I'm doing. I also still have to build a small headache rack that matches the angles of my main one on the truck so I do not stuff a ski through the window. I also have to add my Center braces in the very bottom of the deck I'm going to install them right over my B&W drop in hitch that way I can build a slug to drop into that just like you would a fifth wheel ball and then both it to the center of the deck that way I have no outside straps holding it down. That will still allow the ramp to slide over the top of everything with no problems. Getting closer
