sold the International, bought a 1953 5-window pilothouse with the money and even made a little profit in the deal[cl
we named it Rusty 'couse it is rough.
meetings are helping or l would have wanted to keep both.
PS l want the 1954 in the pic, it is really rough, he wants to much $$$ but he likes to barter & trade so the other pilothouse at his house should be in my yard soon.
I missed my meeting last week so no one was there to talk me down, now l gotta go get it this week
I found this chevy panel truck where the the pilot house was we picked up last week,
he is really serious about getting stuff out of his yard, this is sitting there CHEAP[cl
we have this S-1O front halved and custom built chassis we picked up for 2OO bucks from another guy who live's in a housing development that will not allow things to sit outside his garage, he knew we were looking for something like this for our next project and this body of the panel should fit the chassis nicely with very little mods.
in a Darth Vader voice " the addiction is strong in this one"
Cool.
I dig the panels as I drove a 50 GMC panel as my everyday for about 5 years.
I had mine sitting on a full size 99 GMC pickup truck 4 wheel drive chassis.
If not for the tires. It looked stone stock.
I tried to find some pics but I think I lost them all in the great computer crash of 2017.[ddd
Torchie
this week l sold the 1953 pilothouse l got last week & the 1948 pilothouse l drug home from Morton about 6 months ago, made a little profit.
now there is a hole in the yard begging to be filled [S
do you guys want more pics of the panel[P l'm going back over there to look at it more closely and see what shape she's in this afternoon. while there l'll see what kind of deal can be made to get it home.
did not get to go over her real good last time or talk about the panel other than he said he wanted to sell it.
problem is l learned no title, little rougher than l may want to tackle. driver side rear quarter is a mess, the hinge is broke and the whole area moves around a lot.
what do you guys think is fair price
the panel wheelbase is 116 inches and the frame we have is 116 inches so that is a plus.
It would be a lot of work and it would depend on how bad you wanted it. Might not be the choice for a restore but for a barn built joy machine....[cl
Always thought one of those was in my future, just hasn't happened around here yet. You're finding cool stuff here lately skull![P
