My current wife seems to think I have some kind of problem.
She says I'm crazy for driving 1600 miles in 2 1/2 days to bring this
"PILE" home. She just likes to give me and my childish mind a hard
time. I can tell she really likes it.

Got it from Hankthebigdog. Thanks Brother.

Let the fun begin.

Awesome ride Pops! I really dig those pre-Pilothouse era trucks a lot too. What's the plans for it/ what's been done already?

Your wife sounds like mine, whatever make me happy.
I like those years of Dodge trucks. The design is great until they got to the headlights then, it was like, oh crap where we gonna put the headlights [S aaaaa this looks good to me and  I know a guy that has thousands of them in stock too :D
I'll be watchin this build [cl [cl[P [P

Thanks guys.
I'm thinking I'll throw some wheels and tires on it, get it running, stopping and just drive it for a while.

It's got a 350 chevy and auto trans in it that I know nothing about condition.
It's had a second generation Camaro front end and rear end put under it.

Eventually I'll strip it and start over with a Dodge power train, heat and air,
and a $200.00 one step paint job.

I agree that something has to be done with the headlights. I really like Flippers' idea of '37 Ford lights in the fenders. If I could get away with it I'd
go lightless.

I saw one with early 40's Chevy truck headlights that looked good. I'll post the pic if I can locate it.

This inboard location is stock on my Plymouth and on Dodges from some years. Sightly better. Nice score on the truck. Pretty sure mine is heading to Winnipeg shortly. Darn.

i just got back from pops house
that is a neat truck
course he's gotta go over everything with a fine tooth comb for function, safety etc
but a good lookin rig.
