time to get some engine mounts made. I had a set of hooker headers for a G body.they fit fine I will use these for now, may do some fender well headers later. so I can clear a steering shaft to the rack. and not sure how I'm going to do the clutch linkage.
got most of a trans mount built today . I am going to make some drive shaft loops and tie it all together, some how? I want to make the frame as rigid as I can.

Finally after spending time hangin with my grandson and my inlaws visiting for a week I was able to get some work done.so I tacked together some motor mounts .then I built a couple drive shaft loops. I still need to add a few gussets and finish welding everything up. then I will be pretty much done with the frame. before I did all this the frame would twist very easy, I took it of the rear stands and jumped up and down on one corner .no twist ,and the rear 4-link seams to cycle up and down properly. I guess I did some thing right.

I like what you have done with the frame. On my '40 Plymouth pickup I used 350# springs on \the MII front. Seemed about right.

got the frame finished for now. I still have some work to do on the front end. still need to build some rear supports for the lower arms, get that later when I get some control arms.I also need to mount a fuel cell.I have one that fits well I may use .I also have an old beer keg I may use, cross that bridge later. now I want to start on the cab and get it bolted on. I might go ahead and paint the frame and grind off and repaint the small places I will need to weld.

I'm surprised . no comments on grinding off the patina. [S not lookin for an argument, it's all in fun.

Rat rods are evolving. There are several nicely built cars out there that have "rat rod" proportions, that are accepted under the umbrella of rat rods.

I like them all.

I know this is a ratrod sight but I dont think of this truck as a" rat rod".(but what is a rat rod?) one thing this truck wont be is a billetized ,gold chainers street rod.

Yeah, no reason to follow the herd; do yours own your way! One of the great things about this hobby is the individual expression and creativity that makes each build unique. :)

had one of them OH **** moments after I took the windshield out. I dropped it. I wanted to try and save this glass ,it had some cool BB holes in it .it probably would have cracked getting it out of frame any way.
