I have a New Process A833 GMC pickup overdrive that might be the same as yours. Pro's are the transmission is tougher than nails. Cons are: there is a long jump between second and third because third is the old fourth [ 1 to 1 ratio] and forth is the old third only with different gear ratios to make it quite a bit faster ,[overdrive]. The bolt pattern to the bellhousing is different from some Chevies or the Dodges.

Is the RUG a SROD? Meaning the shifter is on the outside with a single rod or rail going into the transmission. Of all the 4 speeds (3+OD) that is probably the least desirable. There is one with the shifter going in the top and another that is basically the old iron toploader with the ratios shuffled around like the A833 Mac described.
