1930 Ford Woodie

Lightest dam mercury motor i ever saw,,,[ddd

No doubt, floating on the ceiling

Built mounts for engine and trans.

Cleaned the trans and cut the firewall

Started fitting the front fenders. All the holes line up which is good. Some of the brackets I welded on had to be cut off and moved. For some reason the frame didn't line up with the original. I didn't buy this car together. Got the frame from one guy, fenders from another, and the cowl from another guy. Kind of a cool way to build a project. Got a used windshield frame on ebay. Its beat but cheap. Moved the cowl up and started making running board brackets.
How do you post pics that don't show as attachements?

Open a free photobucket account, up load you photos there. once you have them uploaded click on the"ÏMG" code for each photo then paste it into the post you want on RRR I up loaded this one from your post but it has been resized very small, if when you upload to photobucket they will be full size and photobucket automaticly resizes them to fit the site.

motor mounts

I don't like the rubber biscuit motor mounts, sometimes you get some vibrations especially with a st trans, When ever possible I used modern mounts with the safety lock feature. The 50;s style mounts had the rubber bonded to steel and no locking feature worse than the biscuit type mounts,
I found a good frame for my A roadster with a bill of sale to match the frame number. The one under the roadster has too many problems to save . I plan on a resto mod with wire wheels. full fenders

You can post the thumbnails and the full size image. I don't know how to do it from a phone, but if you're working from a PC or laptop, it's much the same as loading and posting from a photo site...

Have not been on in a while. Took the cowl off to start detailing out the running gear. Trying to figure out a gas tank. I cut the rotted model a tank out but still have the filler. I would love to still use the filler and put the tank in back

Built a frame around an s10 tank. Not a bad fit

I forgot to post the varnish on the bottom and I painted the cowl. Also got a guy to make me a windshield

If you're saying you want to use the cowl filler to fill a tank in the back of the car, that could be done but it would be terribly slow and temperamental to fill. Best to have your filler as close as possible to your tank.

You are going slow but it is turning out mighty fine.

When you varnish a woodie it is a long process. Today is the 5th of 10 coats on the inside roof. I know this is a rust page but it is also a building a car or truck of your own creation. Thank you all for watching and posting.

The filler would be terrible. I modified it. It will have filler in back
