I want to see what happens. [P Post away!

Well, after reading some of the comments above, I may not want to see everything that happens. But you can brag if you like. :D

thanks fellas
i tried cleaning my fingernails so i could fit in at them other websites
and i aint 100% certain what a metrosexual is so...
no dice...
back to the truck
this SOB is a LOT bigger in real life than it looks in photos
everything on it is big
huge lug nuts, steering wheel massive
tires are waist high
getting in is like climbing a ladder

told my wife i want nothing but truck parts for xmas/birthday etc.
not even any guns!
yep
got the fever again

in the spirit of RRR i will cover the window /windshield gaps with gorilla/duct tape
same with the big honkin hole where the shifter is.
and as soon as i can afford it i will install one of them 40,000BTU boat heaters
it has four vents to pipe heat wherever you need it
with my jeep i figured out
you can insulate if you want
or you can overcome the cold with massive amounts of raw heat

titled it today
$301
it took three DMV ladies and a phone conference to figure out what to do with it
carb should be here tomorrow

worried about the bill from the tranny shop.
i have the money left over from the 27 sale
but i hope this tranny dont take all of it!
whatever it ends up being.
at least i wont have to wonder/worry about one thing.

If they are like our local gear shop, they'll open it up and give you an estimate for 35 to 50 bucks. (if you ask) Did you ask for an estimate? [S As the orchestra goes dum ta dum dum [ddd
Don't worry about it Billy. Surely it won't be over $900

update
transfer case was full of ice
there is slight rust on some of the gears but as soon as the new carb comes i will install it and try to drive it home

So the tranny was fine? Good news!

yep!

snow/rain ran down through the window gaps
down the dash
and funneled into the hole the shift stick lever goes into
the mechanic showed me well over a gallon of water and the rest was p-nut butter milkshake

Yikes. Will the gears be alright once they wear on each other a bit with proper lubrication?

From the way you described the shifting problem is why I mentioned the frozen water issue.
Glad you're getting it fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
