I find that my photos are all mixed up in order. What I am going to do is show all my photos as I can dig them out. They will not be in order but it should be easy to figure out where and what stage i'm in by looking at the photos. I have 300 plus photos. When I get up to the current build the times and photos will match and be in order. Ask any questions on what is what and sizes etc if I can remember what I did. Thanks

Hers is some more info on the project I am building. I originally wanted to use a Ford Flathead engine with this car. As I have had all the fast cars and big blocks through my life, i wanted a cruiser engine that is dependable and great looking. The 1950 merc engine was my choice because I had one sitting on the garage floor. But when I took it apart to rebuild I found 4 burnt pistons. After doing research on costs of the Flathead parts and rebuild, I scrapped the idea the costs were more than I wanted to spend. So I went to plan B, I had a 1971 Ford 351 Cleveland Boss Engine with only 2 hours break in time on it. It was sitting in another corner of my garage since the late 1980's when we stoped Dirt track racing. This was the extra engine back then. It probably has to much for the street .600 lift cam large duration etc The engine has all new stuff except the crank and block. The power band starts at 3000 rpm so I will have to change some stuff to be streetable. And change the single plane Roush intake for a dual plane job etc. I have a photo of the engine, by the way it has chrome rings it never seizes sitting still for 20 years or so. I love the 11 quart oil pan Ill keep that. Also some photos of the rear spring jacking bolts i installed to raise or lower the ride height in the rear. Old Stock car stuff.. Rear gear is only 3:55 ratio not enough for the Cleveland it would need 4:88 at least. Anyway it was free and I had it so we go with this.

Bravo for tackling the body build ! There is a bit of a learning curve but there's nothing like the satisfaction of doing it yourself. I've built a few bodies using a similar tube frame structure like you are - don't mean to hijack your thread, but here's some pics of a roadster body I made.
Keep the good stuff comin'..[cl
