I dropped the engine onto the chassis this week and The pan on the engine I'm using is different than on my mock up. I need to either use the mock-up pan or notch the cross member.

I can get the motor mount bolts in but the pan sits on the crossmember. I need to cut out about 1/2". I think I'll do it the hard way and notch the crossmember so I can use the chrome pan.

I think I might still need to cut another half coil of the springs too.

I also got this...


....to replace this on my crane. That chain is pain and the chip in the pulley doesn't help either!

What would it cost to have the mock up pan chromed?

nice winch , that will make things a whole lot easier . You'll be able to lift a body off without the chain banging against everything , besides pushing a button sure sounds easier . Good score !

Got the electric winch mounted. How did I do without one before. So much easier and convenient!

Made the notch in the crossmember. Just cut the piece out and flipped it around and welded it back in. Now I have pan clearance.
