While I was surfing through Facebook market place on my wife's page I found these for sale. Don't really know why they caught my fancy but now they are mine. 1950 Ford Prefects, English made built for Canada with left hand drive. They are the big hp models with a 1.17 liter 10hp engine one spins over, that engine is about 14"long. Every time I look at them I see Gasser or Nostalgia drag car. Only problem is they are very straight rust free and complete.

I love little cars. Have had my Anglia for 45 years. It sure would like a companion 4 door Prefect. Luckily it's too far away and I'm too tired to built one.

The pics sure got me drooling and thinking.

Thanks for posting these gems.

Did you buy them???

Great find!

Here's one that was built a few years ago - I halped out a bit on the build along with many others.

My dad had one about 10 years ago or maybe a little more. It was a project shell that had previously been poorly rodded and was in need of a full chassis and everything else (it was in yellow primer at the time). He eventually sold it when we really realized how tiny it would be for a street car. I'd still love one, but I don't need something else to build, haha.

He got the car from a neighbor who bought a running and driving hot rod Prefect and got the second car with it. Dad horse traded some work on the hot rod for the other car. Driving that car, the interior size was a big issue, as well as getting enough radiator in there to cool a V8. It definitely needed a redo.

They're nice and straight, I say cut em up if you want to! [cl[;)
