So I took some inspiration from MetalMansSweden and made a louver tool to hand bump louvers one at a time. Tool turned out all right and I show improvement on three louvers. [cl Its 18 G steel scrap that I have been hammering on a sand bag.

You hammer out one then move it ahead to the second die and then do the next and so on and so on. Clamping is important to keep consistent spacing. Metal man has a good video demo on U-Tube.

Gold, I also made a louver punch and watch that Swede. My defrost vents are louvers, but not my first ones, there are a few in an old piece of combine safety shield, make for practice.
Good idea.

What I wanna know is how did you make such a perfect curve in the die? I can't cut a straight line for nothing, and never can cut a round circle or radius. Mine always end up egg shaped.....:(
