does anyone there know what year they put the IRS under the Mustang. also if there are any other IRS rear ends out there. i would like to put one under my project thxs:cool:

Thunderchickens have them also.

Find you a yard that will let you walk around and start looking around.

70's and 80's Jags can be found with Dana center sections and are cheap. The IRS is mostly a complete unit and can be easily used. A rough whole car you can find for a few hundred to a grand. Worth it as the front gear is really nice also if you want your project to handle well

How much money you have to lose?

I've been noticing lately that a ton of the newer SUV's have IRS. Ford exploders for instance.

I was doing my apprenticeship @ Ford when the Exploder switched over platforms from live axle to I.R.S... Was a night and day difference!

I think they were based on the same setup as the T-Bird, Cougar, MK 8, but not 100% sure.

Shea:)
