Are these decent rearends...are they a precursor to the 9" ...would i be retarded to trade my 42' ford truck banjo rearend for this one??? ..i will most likely be running a 460bb or a 394 olds ...just curious[S
 
There are so many newer, better rear ends to use I would pass. One thing that makes them tough to use is the availability and cost of repair parts, like brakes, etc. Even an 8 incher is stronger and easier to use IMO.

I scrapped a nice 49 Ford rear a while back for just that reason.
