That's my 36 International. I had a thread on here last year as I was working on it. Not sure how to link my old thread from my phone.
I moved the 79 T-Bird out to my other shed while I work on Stumpy. The 36 shouldn't matter much if I get grinder sparks or dust on it. Hence the tarp on the windows.

My buddy came by last night with a cable shifter out of a Jag he scrapped and some niceish leather seats from another car he scrapped. Nothing got done but some plans were made and beers consumed. Hopefully some more pics later of progress
11 months later and I'm back on this project. I did get a shifter mostly built. Then lost interest in it because of Corona shutdowns.
It's been in my way in my shop along with the parts car. They were both mostly flat surfaces so junk has been piled on them continuously.
Last week I did get a gas pedal installed from a 2000 Crown Vic. It was the longest cable I could find in my yard. I'm hoping in the next day or 2 to have the doghouse/engine cover finished up. I've been worried about how I'm going to do it for years. But with the gas pedal done and it not having to be on the removable cover it will be slightly easier. No pics yet but will have some later today hopefully.
And hopefully I can stay focused on this thing to get it out of my shop.

So I have an update picture. Like I said I've stressed since this truck cab was first cut to fit on the frame about how to cover the motor. Last night I spent several hours working on it with a buddy. Yes you can pull the cover with seats mocked in. I only tried the passenger side but it wasn't too bad.

Second side was way easier. I just did the same as first side. it is off about 2 3/4" width from front to back. I'll have to cut down the center angle iron to finish mocking it up square.
Now to figure out what to do for the Tailgate/end plate. I believe this was discussed earlier in this thread, so I'll have to reread that part.
I told my buddy today that I wasn't going to do a tailgate and just make it a solid plate. He thinks I'm nuts to not build a tailgate. So we walked around my yard an came back in the shop with the green gray yellowish tailgate on the right side of the picture. it's a later bed. Totally different design and height. He's convinced we can cut up the two and make one, but I think he's nuts.

Some debate going on in building the "Bed" on Stumpy. One of my buddies thinks I shouldn't weld the framework to the car frame, but make it so it bolts on. He didn't have a very good reason to go through the extra work of making it bolt up other than "what if the next owner wants to change it?" I said "the next owner can cut it off if he wants it changed".
So for those that have built a framework to hold up bedsides what have you done?
