As for curving the tube, just cut slits into it and bend it, then weld it all back up.that setup looks very similar to tudor deluxe's and here is what he did.

Yea, don't know how I managed that sorry. I guess that's what happens when you have too many tabs open on the ipad.

I finished cleaning up the bottom of the model A body...did some finish welding, welded the floor to the structure and then under coated the bottom and did a little painting on the inside to cover the bare steel....I brought the chassis and all the parts home from the shop to start assembly for the final time...I cleaned all the paint out all the holes in the front part of the frame and then clear coated all the holes and edges...did the same on the axle and radius rods....now I can get started and put this thing all together...I'm pumped for I have a lot of cool Ideas and parts to throw at it...should look pretty cool when its done:)

Go Fast Parts!!!

The motor was a fresh rebuild 350 chevy I got from jr. so I just added some parts that I had laying around...I put in a comp thumper cam, noisy gear drive and a set of comp roller rockers....I cleaned up the tranny which is a turbo 350 that was also redone, changed filter and gaskets and added a 2500 stall convertor...bolted everything back together and give everything a new coat of black engine enamel...hopefully get it bolted into place early this week.

Motor In

I had a few hrs tonight so I jockey'd everything around again...due to limited space and rolled the chassis under the motor and tranny and set it in place....got it all bolted up and then put the chassis up on stands so I can get down to some serious assembly...without laying right on the floor...moving forward:)

Bling!!!!

I started adding some bling to the motor...I bought a bunch of parts over the last year for this build so it's nice to be able to use them up now...I know it's a rat rod but I like a nice chassis and lots of jewelry on the motor, and I know at the end of the day I have no problem making money on it if I decide to sell it a later date...but not now...I will have to enjoy it for a summer or two..I put on some aluminum pulleys and brackets, chrome alt. and then I dug out the carb and intake system that I had a guy in Winnipeg put together for me....It's awesome...it's an old Crietz 2x4 intake that has been adapted for 4 94 holley's with wedges to tilt them out, wicked fuel lines and linkages...I then picked up some finned air cleaners for them...this is a wicked looking set up that I have been pumped about for a while :)

Nice induction Fink! [cl

Creitz: You don't hear that everyday. (I have a pair of their AL hubs and wouldn't know the name otherwise.)

So, you're shootin' for Draggins, not? If you make it, stop talking and take a load of pictures will ya? ;)

Making Progress

Still throwing parts at this model A..Things that should go easy seem to take the most time..got the front end pretty much down except for steering rods, headlights, and a few misc. things....still working on the engine as well...more bling!!!

Fake Flat Head!!!

I picked up a set of flat head valve covers from so cal last summer and thought they would suit this build....they look pretty cool and if nothing else they will keep people quessing what it is..tons of hrs spent and tons more to go...spent some time making 50 cal. dipsticks as well....it's all coming together but still a lot more to go but at least now it's starting to look like something...I think...tomorrow night is another day and more progress to be made....Thanks for the comments and views and I will keep posting pics if I have time
