Heres a few pics of my 63 belair. In the next couple months its gonna get dual carb intake, header, and flame throwers! It has 89k orig miles and runs like a top! I got this car from my dad who got it from my great grandma who bought it brand new! I parked it for 10+ years so now im just fixing stuff to get her on the road again. The next step is air bags. I will post the progress.

Just a quick update. I got the new gas tank in an new rear shocks on. I got the engine running but im having carb issues. Ive cleaned every passage and it still idles bad. It loads up like crazy but if u rev it up it cleans out and sounds good. It idled perfect for a min right before it ran outta gas! Suspecting the float level. Its a carter yf 4376s
1 barrel. Any carb info appreciated! Thanks ps. I will post updated pics soon!

Nice ride! As far as carb issue, get a rebuild kit with a new float and I'm betting there are some pretty good You Tube videos on how to rebuild it and make all the adjustments right. Nothing as reliable as a good old inline six.

Hey guys just another update! I got the carb cleaned good and working right. The float setting was way off and it was dumping fuel like crazy! In this whole process i noticed a little exhaust leak and thought it was just a gasket! Ha! Was i wrong! I pulled the intake and exhaust off for a new gasket and found my exhaust manifold cracked bigtime! My brother has experience welding cast so hes gonna fix it. If it dosent work i will buy a set of headers. Its one thing after another but she will be road worthy soon! Gonna post some pics today as soon as the shop warms up!

Heres a few pics of the cracked manifold. My brother is gonna weld it up for me. I will post pics of it when its done.

Just thought id post a few pics of the progress. Well welding the cracked manifold wasnt working out. There were more cracks than a nude beach!! So i said hell with it an bought a set of clifford exhaust flanges and am gonna build a set of stainless headers. I scored some food grade 1 5/8" stainless tubing and a bunch of bends from a buddy so that should make a cool exhaust! Im gonna tack them together in the garage then take them to work and tig everything up sweet! I will try to post pics as i go along. If anyone has some pics of their own 6cyl home built headers post em!! Id like to see some others to get some ideas! Thanks guys!

Yep....that's what its all about.

Doing what you can with what you got....been there and done that....Stacks of cash not lying around by me either....:D

Well i got a little done today! Heres some pics of my mocked up exhaust. I mocked it up to the flanges with pvc pipe just to get the dimensions worked out. Ive gotta change the angle of a couple of the runners to make it flow a little better.Im gonna dump out of the head into a 3" pipe with a 3"outlet. Im gonna make it exit behind the front wheel with a flamethrower. Its all gonna be stainless except for the flanges. Should be loud enough to **** off the neighbors and scare women and children!! I will post more pics as i go along.
