For all you guys out west that say nobody would want that junk, I just saw this on Craigslist. "$650 or it's going to the scrap yard." What is scrap going for these days?! I wouldn't be surprised if somebody buys it.

street racer

if the price was lower, to much for what it is even with a title. might give 200 bucks If it has a title and basically your'e buying a clear title.

l'd find a couple not so perfect doors, fenders, hood, deck lid, throw some headlights, tail lights, turn signals & some little things, add a nascar style chassis and VIOLA...one street legal race car.

Later

If you look, there is a front fender, maybe a hood(?), and part of a bumper inside. And really for what is there, there doesn't seem to be much any through... good patch panels?

If you try to buy a 32, 33 34 Ford 2 dr. you will find worse than that @ $4,500. and there selling! mainly because a good re-pop body is big $$. Think of what we make rats out of, a cowl section and welding.

While it doesn't seem to make sense to us, to some 57 Chevy restorer guy it might be worth it. First of all, it is a two door hardtop, so that is a huge plus. Secondly, even though it has no title it is possible one could be obtained and the car might have a desirable vin number (optioned car maybe). So if the parts from this one were grafted onto one in better condition you might end up with a car that is worth more money because you could then claim it came with the V8 engine, power steering and brakes, etc. that the first car didn't have.

I bet some tri five Chevy guy will see some value in it, even if he just needed a frame.

I agree with Don.
The problem is that for those of us that are of a "certain" age we can remember when we used to be paid to haul stuff like that off.:)
And just to make matters worse.....$650.00 is what I paid for my 1957 2dr
Hard top back in 75.. Had a sweet later 327 and a Muncie 4 speed in it.Threw some plates on it and drove it home.[cl[cl
Torchie.

If the frames straight somebody could use it. The dash could make a good donor for a custom of some sort. Or some hoarder could use it to add to his rusting away to nothing collection.

Shoot that ashtray handle is worth at least $1000 alone! All it needs is $300 worth of buffing, filling and replating and good as new! Once you have the ashtray handle, the rest is easy.

I was thinking maybe the dash for a rat rod and the quarters to make some kind of shop couch out of. Frame is probably twisted - looks like it's been pushed around by a loader or something.

Here's another:

"1930's chevy coupe deluxe - $200"
He does admit it's probably not worth more than scrap.
