idea

the original gotcha graphic.

This is probably mid eighties up at the Competition Specialties Trade Show in tacoma or seattle. Ronnie Goms drove this car all over the place. It was a rolling billboard for his Speedshop, "Gotchas" up in Olympia. And there is a street race story to be told here, too.

Skull, Thank you for showing some pictures of your 'done' hotrods in an everyday setting. I've been pleading with the guys to sometimes show us pictures of the after life of our 'builds', but mostly my pleas have been falling on deaf ears.
Thank you for posting.

Bloody 'ell

l got the new front tires yesterday, bad enough we now have pay a one dollar fee to the state for the "privilege" of having tires on your'e vehicle, on the way home the rear axle seal blew out and almost all of the gear oil is now on the road, all over the tires and a mess under the car.........:(

somedays you're the bat & somedays you're the ball..l got smacked good so l guess l was the ball

thing is, it could always be worse, easy fix and it gives me a good reason to stick the 3:5O posi in l been procrastinating to do since it was running really good (till it done this to me).

there is a lot of other projects that was ahead of the gear change needing to get done for the summer car shows, however might as well put the new gears in her since it's apart and l want it done this week so she's able to travel for the summer too------- 3:5O time[cl

worse

earlier l said it could always be worse--it is---also ate the axle bearing--axle is 0K so a little time and a few new parts she'll be back on the road--l hope this is it for a while.

did

"joedoh" careful throwing that around, sometimes it takes just that kind of cock-eyed optimism to get worse :p[/QUOTE]

it did, my son was riding to work with a co-worker and dang if they done rear-ended some one who stopped in front of 'em for no apparent reason.

ever one is 0K, boy l'm l glad this day is over.

this is why l can't we have nice things:cool:

l broke the thirty, tore out a axle seal and ate the axle bearing on the driver side. :(

figured while the 3Oish is apart it is a good time to put in both new axle seals and both new axle bearings while l am in the process of the rearend fix. l did score a 3:5O semi-locker/posi slug a few months and been looking for a reason/time for installing them. since l got it tore apart now l will stick them in when l reassemble everything.

with those gears it outta really wake those 375 horses up[cl
