I have read that when setting up parallel front leaf springs they should not be perfectly parallel but slightly narrower at the front. This is to prevent axle side movement. After reading this a couple of times I checked the springs on my 49 IH KB-1 and sure enough, they were. The holes in the axle mounting pad were even drilled so they lined up that way, i.e. narrower in front. Any more input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks![;)
