Test stand looks really good JB, you may have to start attending meetings as well.

Don't give up, it's far too much fun once you can drive it.

What they all said - stand looks really sturdy, and I sure hope that COE works out for you. I'd love to build one of them.

I donít know what youíre talking about. I swear I donít have a problem and can stop at any time if I want to.

Yeah, engine stand is a beast. Most is built out of 1/4Ē tube, plate, and channel. Most of it was steel I had lying around left over from other projects so I donít have much into it but Iíll make a pretty penny from it.

All the fabrication is done on the test stand. Waiting on the tach to come in to finish the wiring then itíll go off to its owner. Had some spare time left so decided to build the alternator bracket for the Y block so I could use a common GM alternator. Still need to cut the adjustment slot but I figure I can do that tomorrow.

So, been working on the alternator bracket the last few days. Ended up cutting another one out and using the previous as a template(it will be stashed away as a ďprototypeĒ.) After putting it all together I thought it needed something else so I decided to accentuate it with a bit of copper. Once I had it completely covered, I decided it needed something else to really make it pop. So I cut in 1Ē from the edges and drilled holes for some sickle rivets. Iím really diggin the way it turned out now. I think itíll really tie the interior and the trunk into the exterior. Now, because everything else now looks so pretty, I had to paint the crank pulley. So itís currently drying. Might even have to paint the water pump pulley Iím gonna wait to see how it looks against the crank pulley first though.

It's like a snowball rolling down hill.......pretty up one part, you see another that needs something, then another, then another......
That's one reason it takes me so long to get anything done!
