well it's time

I have been collecting parts and pieces and now it is time to get this build going.
I will post some pics for you pic hungry animals soon just give me a few days.
Here is the so far plan and please feel free to give me your much needed advise I will respect your knowledge and ideas.
1] 46 Ford pick up cab chopped 3" maybe hard top convertable? channeled 2-3"
2] 302 already built with automatic tranny
3] open wheel disc all the way around
4] 16" spoked ford rims a least in the front not sure yet on the rear rims.
5] sucide doors
6] dropped front ax with front springs
7] 46 Ford frame
8] 8"rear end

Well OK then..........

Looks great so far!! I like the ford in a ford. and sick idea with the wheels on pallets I'm gonna have to take that idea

Found this on Craigslist not sure if I'm going to pick it up guy is asking $600.00 is it worth it?

update after super storm sandy

Did a few things this weekend picked up a 1934 Ford car frame with a banjo rear end made up my mind and going to do a roadster found a guy selling a couple rear doors off a packard so I picked them up and will use the suicide hindges.
Started stripping the hardware off the packard doors and the 46 ford doors.
I have a few days off at the end of the week and will try to get some more done.

Is that a Model T front axle ?? If so, I'd pass on using it - otherwise, you got some great parts to put together, should be a great build.

How can you tell[S

All model A axles have a uniform curve from end to end and are much heaver in weight and the spring perch bosses are 2 1/4", spindles connect different than a model T.

that sucks I was hoping to be closer to getting going and now we have a set back, but I cannot sweat the small stuff I am already in with two feet

chop is done went with a 4" here is a couple pics hopefully they work been having issues up loading them with this laptop.
I guess I need a security token to be able to upload the pics maybe I will try again at some point[S
