Disc. Brakes

Has any one installed Buick drums over their Disc. Brakes?
Would like some input. I have Chev disc on a straight axle,
What year Buick drums do I need to look for? Thanks

moparcowboy, are you looking to cover yor disk brakes so that they look like drums?

That is my understanding anyway...Not sure though...

i'm curious as to why you would do that. not hating, just not understanding.

Yes, I want to cover the Disc. I want the nostalgia look with disc brake stopping ablity.

that's cool dude. i've never done it so i can't talk from experience, but maybe you could take your drums and cut off everything except the front part, so it's basically a plate, like a spacer. Then drill holes to match your lug setup on the discs and slide it over your lugs, then mount the wheels. I'm not sure how good it would look, or if it make your tires stick out like crazy, or even work, but it's the best i can come up with.

It was orginally built for a guy's 32 Ply in Iowa by Chassis Engineening
He didn't like the ride so he took it off and did the Mustang II thing.

I saw a vender that cast drums and backing plates but they want 1200.
bucks a side. I'm a low buck guy that just wants a safe ride!
