Default Rubber transmission dipstick

One problem you have fitting a transmission tunnel tight to the transmission to save room in the car is the dip stick. Here is a solution.
Start by measuring your dip stick and tube. Cut about 2 1/2 inches off the tube at each end. make 2 fittings that fit your tube ends and go down to 3/8 gas hose. Weld them to the dip stick sections. I shampfer the inside so the dip stick doesn't catch. Connect the two ends with hose the length you need. Cut the end off your dip stick, weld it to a choke cable outer housing. Now measure your outer housing and your new dip stick so you have the same reading. Cut the dip stick to length. Mount the top, make a strap for the bottom so it cannot come out. Yes, they make a braided one, but they rattle and won't bend as tight as this......
