Ever wonder why after you clean chrome with steel wool it just rusts again soon? Thats because you are leaving bits of the steel wool behind in the metal. And as we know steel rusts.

Instead of using steel wool, go to your local hardware store, in the wood working section pick up some Bronze Wool, like steel wool it comes in fine, coarse and extra fine..

Now I know there isn't a bunch of chrome on rats and I wont tell if you polish what shiny stuff you might have.;)

Happy motoring.

That is a good tip. We used to sell bronze wool at the marine discount stores I worked at for the same reason, you don't want steel wool anywhere near a boat, it gets into the pores of the fiberglass and rusts there.

Since I have some chrome on mine, I will have to remember that.
