I walked by the bare clutch shaft of a 1934 Dodge Brothers truck transmission quite a few times before it struck me how similar the splines looked to a forties or fifties Ford car spline. I grabbed the nearest '51 Ford clutch friction disc and man-handled it on the Dodge shaft. It slid right on.
