they are out there,my brother bought a 1967 pontiac lemans 326 powerglide car with 25k original form the original owner for under 3k,she was 85ish.this car was showroom all original pristine.he let me drive it but scared the crap outta me doing so.how would you ever replace a car so original and clean?seriously this car looked like it just rolled of the showroom floor.he sold it for 11000.00 to a guy who promised not to cut it up and make a gto clone....i will always remember that car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
One day, I went to my friends shop, lo and behold, there's a '70 Chevelle SS396. The customer bought it on ebay. He paid $45K. The car looked restored until it went on the rack. The floor pans were rusted through and new floor pans were sheet metal screwed over the old pan. The trunk floor was non-existent. The car looked great until you dug a little. This poor guy paid $45K for a car worth $25K.
