I'm going to pick up a 55 Dodge pickup I sold a guy who parted it out. The original V8 Poly is stuck but it has a 3 speed overdrive tranny. I also know of a 56 Plymouth Poly engine that's been stored in a barn for years. I have no projects on deck but how cool would that set up be? I have to make room to store it and start thinking of a project.

Wb, I vote for you to collect the polies. The '55 will have really cool tappet covers, but I think the '56 will be slightly different.
I have a collection of polies already, ----well one anyhow, a wide block 318.

Wb, dang good question. Those '55 polys are a Hemi, cheapened up. I think yours will be a 259 ci, so the 331, 354, 392 family of Hemis are too big to interchange. If you come across a 270 Hemi you would be laughing all the way to the bank, when it comes to swapping parts. Even though I have stated this so matter-of-factly, it is my opinion.
