planetary gear
off set planetary gears would work l think, just reverse the case on the planetary gear so it lowers the body instead of raise it.
special made gear set up like a transfer case but instead of 3 output shafts only 2, something on the order of the yellow thing with only 2 shafts.
maybe something like the first pic mounted in a clocked position to raise the rearend.
