Didnt get any sleep yesterday morning so nothing happened yesterday afternoon. Today, I got the inner bits cut to size and welded back together. Once I had that all finished up, welded all the holes on the door frame up so I can weld te inner bits back to the frame. Tomorrow, I’ll get the framework ground down and weld the inner to the frame, cut the skin the rest of the way, and hopefully get it patched together, hopefully.

Alright guys, it’s been a few days and I have been slacking on updates but I have been working. Got the innerds grafted onto the door and the lower half reskinned. Today I started on the chop but lost all motivation soon after getting the window cut and clamped together. I will need to see how I feel tomorrow and if all goes well I will start welding it together.

Got the chop finished up today and the door set into place. Next step is to figure out hinges for it. The original door hinges were bent up pretty bad and the pins were seized in so I had to cut them up to get them out. Once I get the hinges figured out and installed I will move onto cleaning up the cowl. Lots of work going into this body to make her right.

Got back to work on her car the other day. Got door hinges figured out and both doors mounted. Eventually I will figure out latches. Probably just go with bear claw latches like I did with my 31 chevy. Today, I started work on the cowl after taking a trip down to Great Falls and spending way too much on stuff I needed. Either way, 1” steel tubing for the inner cab bits, 2x3 3/16” wall tubing for the frame, and a sheet of 18ga and its time to get to work. Started with a scrap piece of tubing, I found the angle that the tubing needed to be bent, and cut the excess sheet metal from the cowl. Cutting the sheet from the cowl wasnt necessary but it will make putting the framework for it together a bit easier. The piece I cut for the frame work I butchered on accident but luckily I got enough that I should be okay for a little while(6, 24’ sticks.) Tomorrow I will try to make the front piece again.
