Well guys here it goes... cars is almost done but i figured I'd post some pics of what I did to build in a floor in the body that has no floor after being taken off the "pan" and chopping the top chaneling the body down as far as possible to get it to look the way I wanted. shortening the frame building the coil over rear suspension and so on.

its got 3" lowered springs in the front already but I think im gonna put 2" drop spindles on it as well the body is channeled as far as I possibly could without a TON more work that i wasnt ready for or up for on the first build thinking about building some sort of skirts to extend the body lower and hide the frame and give it the illusion of being lower

That's looking good. Some 4" side pipes would hide the frame, if you're willing to make that change from the headers you've got. Just a thought. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

That's sweet :D
I really like the side pipe idea!

And the door panels......what's the material?

I think it would have been even better if you could have stuffed the engine under the factory hood. Looks like frame length was an issue, but just push in the firewall, remove back seats and make them front seats :D

Well done!

Bet it gets lots of looks.

the material is wood paneling I went to home depot and told the guy " I am looking for the gawdiest 70's wood paneling ya got" lol I am planning on trying to build half hood without side panels once it gets warm and my buddy and I can get into and stand to work in his sheet metal shop .. right now its snowed in.

I done this with a bug ,, made it a 4x4 on 40s I thought it looked awesome !! but had to position the front pulley of the engine dead on top of the front axle to get it under the factory hood , then no leg room at all on inside ,, back seat was the front seat ..

Lookin good ...like the side pipes idea ... question .. what are ya doin with the orginal wheels .. I been lookin for a couple of those.
really like the ride.
