Default 1934 Chevrolet 2dr.

This is a 34 Chev I built a few years ago, started with a complete stocker, does it qualify as a "traditional" hot rod? If y'all are interested, I'll post pics of the build.

Okay, okay!
Here's what I started with, a complete and supposedly running stocker. My first ebay purchase, what you might call a tremendous leap of faith in the online buying process . It came from Montreal Quebec and I dealt with a seller only speaking French, so it was interesting to say the least... Shipped by CN Rail to Vancouver, then trucked to my house, I discovered they didn't tie it down properly on the train so it bashed back and forth into whatever other freight was with it.. Front bumper, fenders damaged and the rear spare pushed the rear panel in. Fortunately their insurance paid for the damage after I gave them a couple of (ahem) "reasonable" repair estimates.

The shipper actually did me a favor, the fenders, running boards and rear lower panel below the spare were just held together with fiberglass, bondo and a prayer. The running boards weighed about 30 pounds each, there was so much mud on them .
Amazingly, the main body was rust free and the wood structure was sound, and the roof insert was fairly fresh. Seems like it had always had a good roof or spent a lot of its life indoors, saving the wood. What appears in the pics to be half decent paint was actually many layers of crap topped with thick clear - I had to scrape the whole works off. The guy I got it from had a collection of cars he loaned out to movie companies so it got pushed onto a few sets, one of the pics show it on a street in Montreal on a movie set. At one time it had been painted yellow and black, probably to pose as a taxi.

After a few months waiting for my claim to be settled, I pulled it out of the shed with the Hennway to start disassembly. I got enough money back to buy new fiberglas fenders, running boards and rear panel from Superior Glasworks plus a couple grand left over!! Flogged off the nasty stock parts on ebay plus a lot of other parts I wasn't going to use so it was looking like a better deal all the time...

Tearing it down, getting parts together to put on ebay. I sold the engine, trans, wheels and a bunch of other parts to a guy in Portugal - shipping this whole pallet of parts there cost him a small fortune but as you can imagine, 34 Chev parts are non-existent there....
This car had the light duty front axle which nobody makes a disc kit for plus those wire wheels had a small bolt pattern like 60's Mopars.
