No reruns here. I'm just after the engine with the fuel injection and the transmission.
I have no idea on where to start with the computer control module. A whole boat load of wires and sensors. I bet it only takes a few wires to make the engine run but it's a matter of figuring out which ones.

Have you looked into a painless (or speedway, etc.) engine harness, if they make them for the EFI dodges? I know it's more money, but it saves a lot of hassle as well...

I found this thread about it on a Mopar forum through google: 5.2 or 5.9 Engine Harness

Interesting. I will check that out if I get that far away, dumbfounded , don't know what the heck I'm doing feeling. Thanks.

Try to score a factory wiring diagram. I know on the GM side there winds up being about 5 grounds and about 6 power circuits that get hooked up to the truck side of the harness. There are a ton more circuits in the engine harness that won't be used after the swap. Most of them will be for the emissions side of things.

yo pops
i am doing some searching for ya

You can get Haynes. It is similar to Chilton's in price and material, it will run you $25 at most parts stores. For $19.00 you can get a full service manual on-line at https://www.alldatadiy.com/index.html http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm
OR get the paper Full book at any dealership parts stores for $80. I got 1, I love it. Or http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r
Or www.ebay.com OR here are a few sites that have some good manual stuff.

I've got a factory wiring diagram coming. I'll probably end up with 10 or 12 wires instead 50 or 60.
Just have to pick the right day when I'm willing to get my head into it and figure it all out.

at least you are one up on me........I am totally color blind and have to chase wires one at a time. Think about that when you start and it will make it easier. [cl

Thanks Billy,

My problem seems to be there's too many other things that I'd rather be doing than sorting thru wiring diagrams.
I did get the donor stripped down to the frame and running gear.
Going to get the '47 in the shop next week and start stripping it.

Happy fathers day to me.

Got my wheels yesterday, I decided to go with the old style rally wheels powder coated silver.
Clean and simple.

I'm thinking I'll paint this one the same shade of blue that's on the cab now,
with a satin finish.

I'll get some tires mounted tomorrow then I can figure out my ride height and strip this puppy for the frame work to put the 5.9 Magnum Dodge engine and 46re transmission in it.

That's the plan as of today. Subject to changes and detours.

Got the wheels and tire on today.
I think I'll drop the front 1" and call it good on the stance.
I like a little rake.
Time to strip it down and start from the ground up.
The last pic is what I want but less shine.
Not very ratty I know but just a good comfortable driver
That I can get the bride to ride with me, IF I put ac in it.

Thanks guys. I've decided I'm going to leave the suspension as is
until I get the Dodge engine in it. It will weigh more and will most likely
drop the front a little more.

Yea I know it's a different year on the front tin. It's the paint color
I was referencing. I just like that blue. Don't know what it is but
should be able to find something close.

I thought the rear end of this thing needed something. This is what I came up with. Need to scrounge some flush mount round tail lights.. Maybe French them in to match the license plate??

Got to figure out if I'm going to try to use this bed or build one.
It's really rust pitted. Any suggestions?
Can you sand blast and skim coat it with any success? My body work experience is next to none. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
