Hello from central ca,
So i've been around cars most of my life, used to build model cars when i was young, took auto shop in high school, maintained my own vehicles, joined the navy which gave me a career in computers, but then got laid off in 2011 after a 38 yr career. So when my son saw that i had a pile of 41 chevy truck parts and a s10 frame,, asked me why dont we put the old truck body on the s10 frame, so we did, stretched the frame to match the wb, after it was done, we took it to eagle field not far from where we live,, drag raced it, then sold it, bought a good mig welder, and have built 3 more. Mainly been working with 41-46 chevy trucks and doing frame swaps using s10 single cab longbed frames. Always looking for new ideas, new simpler ways to accomplish the task. Maybe I can help someone else complete their project. Nice to be around people that arent afraid to call a rat rod a rat rod,
Looking forward to having some fun,,,
John

Live right next to Berenda Slough,, where the Arunda or Cane/Bamboo grows, or used to,, County finally got a grant to eradicate it, they've been keeping it mowed down lately, last fire was a Sept 2014,, some people liked to light it off,[S

Greetings from another central CA member. You are about 2 hours south of me. My old man ran a 46 Chevy for years, consistently took home "Best Beater" awards. Always liked that body style more than the 47 and later. Seems everyone is building the 48-50 Chevys now.

You do nice work!
