I'd imagine you'll keep the setback position. If so, will the six be too tall?

Dr. C, the Chevy small block sits pretty low in the chassis so there shouldn't be a height problem.

I do think I'll make the top of the cowl removable so it will be easier to work on.

Preliminary measurements indicate the front axle will have to be moved forward a few inches

I built the floor and tunnel in this thing backward so I have to remove all of it to get to the bell housing bolts. Probably will replace it all with aluminum to make the Crosley as light as is safely possible.

I approve of the choice of non traditional engines, especially in line 6s. Cool. My Aussie 4.0l Ford is getting exactly the same treatment

Thanks MACKAZ. I like the challenge of making horsepower out of an unusual engine. With the Jeep engine the car will be slow enough to be in my comfort zone.

When the drag strip announcer says, "Here's 79 year old Bob....."' you can figure you are not the typical racer.

I spent an hour dismantling the thing. Will probably take the body off to check why it started handling badly and to repaint the frame.
