Hi, Welcome from Alberta. You've got a good start already, Right on. I'm a Ford truck sorta guy too but don't have one of that era. A problem that I ran into is lost leg room, and mine is only channelled a wee bit. Be sure to mock up your seats when you're setting your steering wheel height so you get comfortable in there. Welcome from the upstate NY area...we are kinda like neighbors I guess...your said these rat rods are a challenge???....I agree on that statement totally...I had to push mine outside (in Dec 2011) into the yard for fear I was gonna shoot it and kill it...they can drive you crazy for sure...night after night after night of making mistakes and endless grinding of metal can get to a guy...glad to see you kept going on it...mine should be back in the garage this summer for more tinkering...
