Plugging trim holes....part 2

Wipe down WELL with all prep and apply a SKIM COAT only of body filler. Sand, sand, sand till you fill in all the little dips like so...

Wipe down well with all prep again, and then prime several light coats.
Should come out looking like these, or better, haha!

Hope it helps! It's basic, mainly because it's easy for beginners like me!

filling trim holes

if you don't wels them up they wont last long,real easy hold a piece of brass behind the hole mig weld it, the weld wont stick to the brass and you have a permanent repair

I had 28 holes of various sizes on my firewall. I used a piece if 1/4 inch copper plate. I drilled it and tapped it for a 3" bolt..a handle. My son held it on the outside of the firewall while I mig'd the holes from the inside. The small ones needed nothing while some of the larger ones just needed a skim coat.
